The drive begins by exiting Bodrum Airport via the Milas–Mugla highway, heading north on the D-330 through the Mugla countryside. After 60 km we reach Aydın, where the route turns west on the D-525 coastal road, passing through Söke (a busy junction town) and continuing along the Aegean coast directly to Kusadasi.
The scenery includes olive groves, pine forests, and several stretches of sea views as we approach the coast. In summer the road around Söke can become busy on weekends, but the route is fully paved, two-lane motorway-quality, and well-signed throughout.
Optional scenic stops include Lake Bafa (an ancient gulf, now a freshwater lake — 30 minutes), Heracleia under Latmos (a quiet ancient ruin on the lake — 60 minutes), and Söke organic market (Saturday mornings only).
