Kusadasi has more halal-certified options than most cruise crew assume — and we know all of them. Our standard Indonesian shore-leave loop: lunch at Mavi Yengeç (halal seafood, Indonesian-friendly portions), prayer break at Kale Camii (5 min from town centre), then Forum AVM for shopping or Long Beach for sun. Whole loop in 4–5 hours, €60 flat for a van (7 pax).
We've moved Indonesian crew from Costa, MSC, Royal Caribbean, Holland America and Princess. Our drivers know halal vs non-halal at every restaurant in town and won't take you somewhere that'll be awkward.
Money transfer? We drop you at Western Union or Ria Forex — both close to the port. SIM card? Turkcell or Vodafone shop, 10 min from the gangway.

Where can I pray during my shore leave?
Kale Camii (Kusadasi central mosque) is 5 minutes from the port and has a clean ablution area + women's section. Our drivers will pause whenever you need to pray — just say so. There's also a smaller mosque in Davutlar (~15 min) we can route past.
Which restaurants are halal?
Mavi Yengeç (seafood), Avlu (Turkish), Marina Köfte, and the food court at Forum AVM are halal-certified. Driver has the full list. Pork shows up only in tourist restaurants we avoid for crew.
Can my female crewmates wear hijab without an issue?
No problem at all — Kusadasi is conservative-friendly. Forum AVM, restaurants, the mosque, the beach (Long Beach has a covered area on the east side) — all comfortable. Most local women wear hijab; it's the cultural default.
