Oceania Sirena in Kusadasi: Private Driver for Ephesus & Şirince
Oceania Sirena calls at Kusadasi on 18 May, 4 June and 30 July 2027, times not yet announced. What a private taxi can fit on each of the three days.
Oceania Sirena has three Kusadasi calls on the public schedule: Tuesday 18 May, Friday 4 June and Friday 30 July 2027. Arrival and departure times are not announced yet. The three days are quite different: two share the port with other ships, while on 30 July Sirena is the only cruise ship listed.
Good to know: our standard cruise port taxi is the round trip to Ephesus. The House of the Virgin Mary, the Temple of Artemis and Şirince are not part of the Ephesus transfer; they can be added as extra stops for an additional charge. Tell us which ones you want when you book.
Three days, three situations
Tuesday 18 May 2027. Celestyal Discovery and Viking Neptune are also in port. Late spring is comfortable walking weather, so the classic order makes sense: the House of the Virgin Mary first, then Ephesus from the upper gate down to the lower gate, the Temple of Artemis, and Şirince if the day is long enough. With two other ships in, start as early as you can.
Friday 4 June 2027. Sun Princess and Celebrity Equinox share the port. Early June can already be hot at Ephesus, where there is almost no shade; doing Ephesus first and the hillside stops (House of the Virgin Mary, Şirince) afterwards is a sensible swap.
Friday 30 July 2027. Sirena is listed alone, so the sites should be less busy than on the other two days, but this is the height of summer. Get to Ephesus early, keep the Temple of Artemis short and leave Şirince for the end of the day.
Matching the stops to Sirena's time ashore
When Oceania publishes the times, compare the hours alongside with our planning estimate. It allows about 30 minutes to get off the ship and brings you back to the port at least 60 minutes before departure (or before the all-aboard time, if that is earlier):
- 8+ hours: House of the Virgin Mary, Ephesus, Temple of Artemis and Şirince.
- About 6.5 hours: the first three; Şirince waits for another visit.
- About 5 hours: Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis.
- Below 4.5 hours: too short for a round trip to Ephesus.
The pieces behind that estimate: 30-35 minutes from the port to the House of the Virgin Mary and 45-60 minutes there; about 10 minutes down to the Ephesus upper gate and two hours walking through the site (another 30-45 minutes for the Terrace Houses, separate ticket); 5-10 minutes to the Temple of Artemis and 15-20 minutes there; 15-20 minutes up to Şirince, 60-90 minutes in the village and 30-35 minutes back to the ship. Traffic and queues vary.
