Oceania Nautica-Aurelia, Kusadasi: June 2027 Taxi to Ephesus
Oceania Nautica-Aurelia calls at Kusadasi on Mon 14 and Sun 20 Jun 2027, both with two other ships in port, times not announced. Planning a private taxi.
Oceania Nautica-Aurelia is listed for two Kusadasi calls, both in June 2027: Mon 14 Jun and Sun 20 Jun. Neither has an announced arrival or departure time. Both are busy days - three ships in port each time - and both fall in early summer, so a taxi day for this ship should start as soon as you are ashore, whatever the final hours turn out to be.
Good to know: our standard cruise port taxi is the round trip to Ephesus. The House of the Virgin Mary, the Temple of Artemis and Şirince are not part of the Ephesus transfer; they can be added as extra stops for an additional charge. Tell us which ones you want when you book.

With other ships alongside on both dates, book your car well before you sail rather than looking for one at the port.
Heat, crowds and the order of the day
Mid-June is already warm, and the Ephesus walk from the upper gate to the lower gate - about 2 hours on foot - has little shade. The order we suggest gets the walking done early:
- Leave the port as soon as you meet your driver.
- House of the Virgin Mary (30-35 minutes away, 45-60 minutes there). Shoulders and knees covered at the chapel.
- Ephesus upper gate, about 10 minutes further. Walk down past Curetes Street, the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre; the driver waits at the lower gate.
- Temple of Artemis, 5-10 minutes on - 15-20 minutes is enough for the lone column.
- Şirince only if the ship stays long: 15-20 minutes' drive, 60-90 minutes in the village, then 30-35 minutes to the port. The lanes are steep and cobbled, so wear good shoes.
If the call is short, skip the chapel and go straight from the port to Ephesus (20-25 minutes). Bring water and a hat either way.
Choosing stops when the hours are known
Our planning estimate; traffic and queues vary. It counts about 30 minutes to get off the ship and a return to the port at least 60 minutes before departure - earlier if the all-aboard time in your cruise documents says so.
- 8+ hours: all four stops
- ~6.5 hours: House of the Virgin Mary, Ephesus, Temple of Artemis
- ~5 hours: Ephesus and Temple of Artemis
- under ~4.5 hours: no safe round trip to Ephesus
We plan the driver's timing from the times you send at booking.
How it works
- A driver with your name on a sign waits at the cruise port exit (map).
- Private vehicle, your group only, up to 8 passengers - a second vehicle if you are more.
- The driver waits at each stop.
- You buy entrance tickets at the sites yourselves; we drive, we do not guide.
- No prepayment: pay the driver in cash on the day, in EUR, USD or TL.
- Local, D2-licensed company in Kusadasi.
Ephesus opening hours and ticket rules change with the season. Check muze.gov.tr, the official Turkish museums site, before your cruise.
Book
Give us the ship name, call date, times or "not announced yet", the number of passengers and children's ages: book a cruise port taxi. For the chapel stop, see our House of the Virgin Mary taxi guide; for Ephesus alone, the Kusadasi port to Ephesus transfer. Other ships with only a call or two are in our other cruise ships roundup.
