Dilek Peninsula and Great Menderes Delta National Park (commonly known as "Guzelcamli National Park") is a 27,600-hectare protected nature area 25 km from Kusadasi. It has some of Turkey's cleanest Aegean coves. Perfect for a day trip.

An economical option, but the roads inside the park are narrow and winding, and parking at some coves is limited.

Seasons

Spring (March-May)

Red poppies, green surroundings. The most beautiful for trekking.

Summer (June-August)

Crowded (especially weekends). Park entry may be capped — go early.

Autumn (September-November)

A good balance — mild weather, fewer crowds. Olive harvest in the village restaurants.

Winter (December-February)

Rainy, some coves closed. Walking is possible but swimming is hard (water 14°C).
