The shuttle won't leave early for you, and it won't wait for you either — if you're not at the meeting point at the stated time, you're responsible for getting back to the port yourself.

3. Taxi from the port

Taxis queue at the port exit and will take you to Ephesus, but there's no fixed fare guarantee and no built-in return commitment — you either negotiate a wait-and-return price up front (which can vary a lot depending on the driver and the day) or you agree a one-way fare and find a taxi back from the Ephesus car park later, which is far less reliable when 3,000 other cruise passengers are also trying to flag one down at 13:00.
