Wheelchair-accessible airport & cruise port transfers
Lift-equipped Mercedes Sprinter, step-free entry, four-point restraint for the chair plus seatbelts for travel companions. Same flat price as our regular van service.
We operate one wheelchair-accessible Mercedes Sprinter with a hydraulic side-entry lift (550kg capacity), 1.4m-wide door, and four-point Q'Straint floor restraint system. The chair stays in place during transit — passenger doesn't transfer to a vehicle seat unless they prefer to. Two travel companions ride in the standard van seats behind/beside the chair.
Flat rate from Kusadasi to Izmir Adnan Menderes (ADB) airport is €85, Bodrum Milas (BJV) is €110. From cruise port to anywhere local — Kusadasi centre, Long Beach, Sirince — €40–55 flat. Same as our standard van service.
Driver is trained on the lift operation and restraint system. He'll do the strap-down himself, or let you direct him if you're more familiar with your chair's anchor points. Average lift-and-secure time is 4 minutes.
Lead time: 24 hours minimum. We only have one accessible van so advance booking is essential — same-day availability is occasional but not guaranteed. Cash on the day in EUR, USD or TL.
We've moved 200+ wheelchair passengers in 2024–2026 with zero incidents. Most common booking is cruise-port-to-Ephesus for accessible day tours (Ephesus has paved paths for ~70% of the site).
Frequently asked
Can the lift handle a heavy electric wheelchair?
Up to 550kg combined (passenger + chair), which covers all but the heaviest bariatric power chairs. Standard adult electric chairs are 130–180kg + passenger 60–100kg = well within capacity. Tell us the chair model/weight in advance if you're unsure.
Is Ephesus actually wheelchair-friendly?
Mostly — the marble-paved main streets (Curetes Street, Harbour Street, Library of Celsus area) are accessible. The Terraced Houses section has stairs and isn't accessible. We can drop you closer to the South Gate which avoids the steepest part. Driver will help with the chair on uneven sections.
Do you have a transfer board or hoist if I want to sit in a regular seat?
We carry a transfer board in the van (free use). No hoist on board, but the lift platform itself can serve as a halfway step. If you need a hoist, tell us 48 hours ahead and we can coordinate with a local rental.
