An 8-hour off-duty window is enough for the full Ephesus Ancient City visit. A 12-hour window opens Pamukkale (3 hours each way, 2 hours on the travertines). Both are off-limits to standard cruise shore excursions for crew because the ship-organised tours sell out to tourists. We have spare capacity exactly when crew is free.
What you get: flat-rate van pickup at the gangway, English-speaking driver who knows the sites cold, water and snacks on board, and a guaranteed back-to-port time padded by 1 hour. Entrance tickets aren't included — Ephesus is about €13, Pamukkale €25 (2026 prices, paid at the gate).
Crew rate for the Ephesus van (7 pax) is €90 flat — that's €13 per person if you fill it. Pamukkale van is €180 (€26 per person at 7 pax). We've run this 200+ times for cruise crew over the last two years. Zero missed all-aboard calls.

Is 8 hours really enough for Ephesus including transfer?
Yes — 30 min gangway-to-Ephesus, 3 hours at the site (you can see everything important in 2.5), 30 min back. That leaves 4 hours of buffer for traffic and lunch. We pad another hour to be safe.
Can you do Pamukkale in one off-duty day?
Only if you have 12+ hours. Pamukkale is 3 hours each way by road. You'll get 2 hours on the travertines, which is the right amount. Don't try this with less than 12 hours — you'll miss all-aboard.
Will you bring water, food, sunscreen?
Cold water and small snacks (biscuits, dried fruit) are in the van. Sunscreen is on you — we sell €5 small tubes at the office if you forget. For full lunch we stop at a roadside place near Ephesus or in Pamukkale village (€10–15 meal).
