Why stop in Alaçatı?

If you are going to Çeşme, skipping Alaçatı would be a shame. Hidden in vineyard hills 8 km before Çeşme, the town offers:

• Hacı Memiş District: Stone streets, colourfully painted doors, boutique shops
• Saturday market: Fresh fish, olives, local cheeses
• Restaurants: Asma Yaprağı, Barbun, Fettah Efendi — pricey but worth every bite
• Cafés: €4–6 for a coffee, but the atmosphere is worth it

A minimum 1.5-hour stop is enough to enjoy the town. Your driver waits at the central car park; you wander Alaçatı at your own pace.
