Izmir Airport (ADB) → Kusadasi: the most popular transfer route on the Aegean coast
Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB) is the main international gateway to Kusadasi and the wider Aegean coast. Our private transfer covers the 80-kilometre journey in approximately one hour, depending on traffic and the time of arrival. The price is fixed at €75 for a sedan (up to 4 passengers), with no surge pricing, no hidden fees, and no surprises — what you see is the final price.
Why a private transfer beats taxis and shuttles
A metered taxi from ADB to Kusadasi typically costs €110-€140 with no flight tracking and no waiting buffer. Hotel shuttles often involve waiting for other passengers or making multiple stops. Public buses (Havaş + Kusadasi minibus) take up to three hours and require a transfer at Selçuk. Our private transfer:
- Departs the moment you exit Arrivals — no waiting for other passengers
- Tracks your flight in real time, so the driver is at the gate when you walk out
- Includes 60 minutes of free waiting time for delayed flights
- Drops you directly at your hotel door, even in narrow Old Town streets
- Stays at €75 from sedan up — no fluctuation, no taximeter
The route: Aydın motorway (O-31)
The journey follows the modern O-31 Aydın motorway for most of the trip. The drive begins by leaving the airport via the Gaziemir interchange, joins the motorway southbound, and exits at the Selçuk junction — about 65 km in 45 minutes on clear roads. From Selçuk, we descend through olive groves and pine forest on the D-525 to Kusadasi (15 km, 15-20 minutes).
In summer (June-September) the motorway can slow down between Friday afternoon and Sunday evening — we typically still complete the journey in 75-80 minutes thanks to dedicated transfer lanes near the airport.
Vehicle classes available on this route
For couples and small groups travelling light, the Standard Sedan (Toyota Corolla, Fiat Linea or similar) at €75 is the popular choice. Families and groups of 5-7 prefer the Premium Vito (Mercedes Vito) at €110, which has 7 seats plus generous luggage space. Larger groups (8-13) book the 13-seat minibus at €160, and groups up to 19 use our Mercedes Sprinter for €220.
All vehicles are fully D2 licensed, meaning they carry the Turkish Ministry of Transport passenger transport certificate — the highest tier of road transport licence in Turkey, requiring full insurance, regulated driver hours, and annual safety inspections.
What to do on the way: optional stops
The route passes very close to two major attractions, and many travellers use the airport-Kusadasi transfer as a chance to visit them:
- Ephesus Ancient City is just 4 km off the route — a 90-minute visit can be added for an additional €30 (waiting time only). We recommend visiting on the airport-to-Kusadasi leg in the morning, before checking into your hotel.
- House of the Virgin Mary is 8 km from Selçuk junction — pair it with Ephesus for a 3-hour pre-arrival stop.
For full Ephesus visits with a guide, we recommend booking a separate day trip from Kusadasi the next morning.

Why D2 licence matters
In Turkey, D2 is the only legal authorisation for private passenger transport for international clients. Operators without D2 are technically illegal — and many "cheap" airport transfer offers come from unlicensed drivers, with no insurance for passengers in case of an accident. We carry both the D2 licence and full passenger + third-party insurance on every vehicle, every trip.
We also operate 24/7, every day of the year, including all national and religious holidays. There is no surcharge for night arrivals, weekends, or public holidays. The €75 price is the same at 03:00 on a Sunday as at 14:00 on a Wednesday.
