Hotel-to-Hotel Transfers in Kusadasi and the Aegean Coast
Changing hotels in Kusadasi or moving on to Selçuk, Didim, Bodrum, Çeşme or Pamukkale? Drive times, luggage tips and why a private door-to-door transfer is easiest.
A lot of Aegean holidays are really two holidays in one: a week on the beach in Kusadasi and a few nights in a boutique hotel in Şirince, or a resort stay followed by a city break in Izmir or a thermal hotel near Pamukkale. The part nobody enjoys is the day in between, when you check out with all your suitcases and have to get to the next hotel. This guide covers hotel-to-hotel transfers in and around Kusadasi: typical routes, realistic drive times and how to make the move painless.
Who a hotel-to-hotel transfer is for
- Split stays. Beach first, culture second (or the other way round): Kusadasi plus Selçuk, Şirince, Didim, Bodrum or Çeşme.
- Families with lots of luggage. Pushchairs, beach gear and suitcases do not fit in a taxi boot, and public minibuses (dolmuş) are no fun with children and bags.
- Couples and honeymooners moving from an all-inclusive resort to a small hotel in a village or old town.
- Groups and extended families who stay in different hotels and want to meet up or move together.
- Cruise and tour travellers who stay on for a few extra days and change from a port-side hotel to a beach resort.
- Anyone switching hotels within Kusadasi, for example from the town centre to Ladies Beach, Long Beach, Pine Bay, Davutlar or Güzelçamlı.
Why a private transfer suits a hotel change
Moving hotels sounds simple, but a few things make it awkward with public transport:
- Door to door. The driver picks you up at the entrance of hotel A and drops you at the reception of hotel B. No carrying suitcases to a bus stop, no changing at the Kusadasi or Söke bus terminal.
- The vehicle is only for your party. It is a private transfer, not a shared shuttle: no other passengers and no stops at other hotels.
- Timing fits check-out and check-in. Most hotels want you out around noon and let you in from mid-afternoon. A private transfer leaves when you want, so you can plan the gap.
- Room for luggage. A Mercedes Vito takes a family or small group with their suitcases in one go.
- A stop on the way is possible. Many hotel changes pass a famous site. With a private transfer you can ask to combine the move with a short visit (see below).
Popular hotel-to-hotel routes
The figures below are approximate road distances and normal drive times without long stops. Summer traffic, roadworks and the exact hotel location can change them.
| From a Kusadasi hotel to… | Approx. distance | Approx. drive time |
|---|---|---|
| Another hotel in Kusadasi (town, Ladies Beach, Long Beach, Pine Bay) | 3–12 km | 10–20 min |
| Davutlar or Güzelçamlı | 12–25 km | 15–30 min |
| Pamucak beach or Selçuk | 15–20 km | 20–25 min |
| Şirince village | about 30 km | about 40 min |
| Didim (Altınkum) | about 85 km | about 1 h 20 min |
| Izmir city centre (Alsancak, Konak) | about 95 km | about 1 h 15 min |
| Çeşme or Alaçatı | about 165 km | about 2 h |
| Bodrum peninsula | about 170 km | about 2 h 30 min |
| Pamukkale or Karahayıt thermal hotels | about 200 km | about 2 h 45 min–3 h |
All of these are private transfers on request: send both hotel names and your preferred time on WhatsApp and we confirm the vehicle and price. Every transfer has a fixed price per vehicle, not per person.
Turn the move into a day out
Because the car is yours for the trip, a hotel change can double as sightseeing. A few combinations that work well (ask when you book, so the timing is planned):
- Kusadasi → Pamukkale: leave in the morning and break the long drive inland with a stop in the Menderes valley; or go via Aphrodisias if you have a full day.
- Kusadasi → Didim or Bodrum: Priene, Miletus and the Temple of Apollo at Didyma all lie on or near the road south. Our guide to Priene, Miletus and Didyma explains the order.
- Kusadasi → Şirince or Selçuk: Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary are minutes away, so many guests visit them on the moving day. See the Ephesus transfer page.
- Kusadasi → Çeşme or Alaçatı: a lunch stop in Izmir or Urla breaks up the coastal drive.
Your suitcases can stay in the vehicle with the driver, so you are not dragging them around a ticket office. Mention every planned stop in advance: a stop adds time, and the price is agreed for the whole plan.
Practical tips
Luggage. Tell us the number of large suitcases, pushchairs, golf bags or bikes. A Mercedes Vito comfortably carries a family's luggage; very large groups may need a second vehicle.
Child seats. Give the ages of the children when you book and the right child seats are fitted before pickup.
Check-out and check-in times. If your new hotel only lets you in later in the afternoon, either leave later or plan a stop on the way. Most hotels are happy to store bags for a few hours if you arrive early.
Night arrivals and early departures. We operate 24/7, so an evening or very early hotel change is not a problem. Just give the exact pickup time.
Two hotels, one booking. For multi-stop days (for example hotel A → Ephesus → hotel B, or picking up friends from a second hotel), write the full plan in one message. One driver, one vehicle, one fixed price for the whole day.
Addresses. Send the hotel names as they appear on your booking confirmation. Villas and apartments: please add a map pin.
How to book
- Routes with online booking: day transfers from Kusadasi to Ephesus and to the Temple of Apollo in Didim, plus airport transfers to Izmir Airport and Bodrum Airport. The live price is shown in the booking form.
- All other hotel-to-hotel routes: private transfer on request. Message us on WhatsApp or use the contact page with both hotels, the date, the time and the number of passengers.
FAQ
Is the price per person or per vehicle? Per vehicle. The fixed price covers your whole party in one private vehicle. You can see the live price in the booking form for listed routes, or ask on WhatsApp for any other route.
Can we stop at Ephesus on the way to our next hotel? Yes, on request. Tell us when you book how long you want to stay, so the driver plans the day.
Our new hotel is in a village with narrow streets. Can the driver reach it? In most cases yes. If the last stretch is pedestrian only, as in parts of Şirince, the driver drops you as close as possible and helps with the bags.
Can you move us between two hotels within Kusadasi? Yes. Short moves within Kusadasi, for example from the centre to Ladies Beach or to Davutlar, are also private transfers on request.
How far in advance should we book? A day ahead is usually enough outside July and August. In high season, or for long routes such as Bodrum or Pamukkale, book a few days earlier.
